FaceTime filters enhance the video call and increase engagement. You can use filters to cover up imperfections in the background. Many iPhone owners use stickers to show their support to a group or tell the world about the world of dogs. We will show you how to add filters, stickers, text, shapes, etc. Connect your device to the internet and update the software to the latest version.

FaceTime effects don’t support all iPhone models. I have covered the number of smartphone models and operating systems required to use filters.

iOS Device:

  • iPhone SE 2nd generation
  • iPhone 8 or later

iOS Software:

You need an iPhone running the latest iOS 17 software. I used an Android smartphone to join the video call. You will witness how the filters display for Windows, Linux, and Android users.

FAQs

Can you add third-party stickers to the FaceTime video call?

I have installed a third-party sticker application on the iPhone. Unfortunately, I couldn’t complete the application in the FaceTime video call. You can install multiple sticker apps from the App Store and find the results. Apple has enough in the library to cater to a regular user.

Does FaceTime allow effects in an audio call?

FaceTime video calls display your face to other parties. You can add effects to a video call, but the options don’t exist for audio calls.

Can I use the FaceTime effects on other VoIP services?

Many big corporations use VoIP services to commence group gatherings. FaceTime is a sophisticated application. Third-party VoIP doesn’t have information options because the Cupertino-based company wants to keep the service exclusive. FaceTime is exclusive, and Apple doesn’t compete with the competition.
